At home, your baby is most likely to be injured by falling. Falls are the #1 cause of home injuries to children under age five.
Even though your newborn may not move much at the beginning, suddenly he will be able to roll. The first time your baby rolls, you could be caught off-guard when it happens.
Keep your baby safe from falls by keeping one hand on him while he is on a raised surface like a change table. Make sure your floor is clear of things you could trip on, so you don't fall when carrying your baby.
You are the best person to keep your baby safe from falls, choking, poisonings, and other injuries at home.
Make sure your home is safe for everyone by having a working smoke detector on every level, and a fire extinguisher.
