Your child over age five is probably very independent, and can sometimes tell you when there is a danger.

Even though your child is growing up, she still needs you to make safe choices for her. You can help keep your child safe at home, on the road, and at play by thinking ahead. It can help to talk about safe choices and risks with your older child.
