Bathroom time can be safer by making a few changes and staying close to your preschooler.

Make sure her bathwater is not too hot. It should be just warm to you.

It can be dangerous to leave your child alone in the bath tub – even with siblings. The older child might still not know what to do in an emergency. It is important to stay in the bathroom at all times when your child is in the tub.

Clean up drips and spills right away when they happen, so you and your preschooler are less likely to slip or fall.
